They won one of their group games and drew the other two which meant they finished in 2nd place. This meant that they narrowly missed out on a place in the semi-finals. We are, as always, very proud of them all. A big thank you to all those who came to support the boys today.
  • Mini 7s Football (Boys) - 08/10/2019: A massive congratulations to our boys who won the Corofin section of the mini 7s football competition in Belclare today, October 8th. There were times when conditions were dreadful but the lads showed a never say die attitude and huge determination. After winning our three group games we qualified to play Cummer in the final. It was a brilliant match that took two periods of extra time and a golden score to separate the teams. Neither team deserved to lose and it was a very sporting match. We now go on to play in the County Finals in Loughgeorge in October 21st. Well done boys!
  • Beginning of Year Mass - 03/10/2019: We had our beginning of year school mass today, October 3rd in our school hall. Thank you to Fr. Ciarán Blake for celebrating the mass with us. Also, thank you to all who came to join us on the day. Well done to all the students for their participation in the mass and a big thank you to all who contributed to the celebration in any way.
  • Mini 7s Football (Girls) - 02/10/2019: Well done to our girls who played in the mini 7s football competition in Belclare today, October 2nd. They played four matches and will take a lot from the experience.
  • Mini 7s Hurling - 30/09/2019: Well done to our hurlers who played in the mini 7s competition in Carnmore today, September 30th. They gave a great account of themselves, winning their first match and only losing their second match by a goal. In what were very difficult conditions, they were unfortunate not to progress further.
  • Cross Country Running - 26/09/2019: Congratulations to the boys from 5th and 6th who finished an excellent 2nd place in the team event at the Galway Cross Country Championships on Tuesday, September 24th in Renmore. • Blas na Mara - 12/09/2019: The boys and girls in 5th and 6th class had a great day today, September 12th at the ‘Blas na Mara’ exhibition in Clarinbridge. The exhibition was part of the Oyster Festival celebrations. Some of things we learned about included seabed mapping, water pollution, water safety, kayaking and oyster harvesting. We also had an opportunity to sample some oysters, mussels, mackerel and other seafood. Thanks to Orela Ryan-Fox for inviting us.
