• Mini 7s Hurling - 15/10/2015: Our hurlers performed very well in the mini 7s competition today in Carnmore. Two victories over Bawnmore and Lackagh and a loss to Corrandulla meant that they finished 2nd in their group and narrowly missed out on a place in the final. However, they can be very proud of their performance. We also played Bawnmore in an 11-a-side game which ended as a draw. Both teams played superbly in this match also. A big thanks to all the parents who came along to support the boys.
  • Mass - 13/10/2015: We celebrated mass in our school today. Thanks to Fr. Paddy Mullins for celebrating the mass with us and also those who joined us on the day.
  • Irish Press Cup Visit - 02/10/2015 and 07/10/2015: The school was honoured to have the Irish Press All Ireland Minor Hurling Cup visiting us twice in one week. Caelum Mulry, his dad Brian, Fionnan Garvey and Gearóid Nicholson came along with the Irish Press Cup and the Connacht Minor Football Cup. On October 7th, the Galway captain, Seán Loftus, his dad and Ultan Hurney also visited with the Irish Press Cup. The children were deleighted to see these cups coming to the school and no doubt these visits will be an inspiration to them to develop their own skills in sports.
  • Brooklodge 5k - 26/09/2015: A great day was had at the Brooklodge 5k and Fun Run. We were very fortunate with the great weather on the day and well done to everybody who took part in both races. A massive thank you to everybody who supported this fundraiser, especially those who gave up so much of their free time to organise the event and help with the running of proceedings on the day. We are incredibly grateful.
  • Visit from Athenry Music School - 25/09/2015: The children all enjoyed a visit from Úna and Colman from the Athenry Music School. Colman illustrated the playing of the Uileann Pipes, along with some tunes on the traditional flute. Úna brought a beautiful Irish harp and played it along with the tin whistle. it was a most interesting workshop and all of the children thoroughly enjoyed it. Our thanks to them both for their visit.
