• Visit to Brooklodge Nursery - 07/09/2016: The 4th, 5th and 6th class children enjoyed walking to Brooklodge Nursery yesterday afternoon to see organic fruit and vegetables being grown. Thanks to Christiane and her team for inviting us down and being so welcoming and generous with their time.
  • Caretaker/Janitor Position - 28/07/2016: The position of caretaker/janitor in our school is currently advertised on www.educationposts.ie. The closing date for applications is 10/08/2016.
  • Summer Holidays - 28/06/2016: All of us at Annagh Hill would like to wish the children, parents and the entire school community an enjoyable and safe summer holidays. We've had a very memorable 2015/2016 school year with many highlights. Our summer newsletter looks back at some of these and can be downloaded from the downloads section of this site. We've no doubt that the forthcoming school year will be just as enjoyable. We will reopen on Thursday, September 1st. We look forward to seeing you all again on that date.
  • Tug of War Demonstration - 24/06/2016: Thanks to Olivia Daly from the Kiltevna Tug of War Club who came to visit our school last week. The children were given information regarding the rules of tug of war and tips on technique and safety before they had a chance to compete against one another. The school was also given a tug of war rope for future use which we are very grateful for.
  • Graduation Mass - 22/06/2016: We celebrated a Graduation Mass for our 6th class pupils today in our school hall. Thanks to Fr. Paddy Mullins for celebrating the mass with us and thanks to all who joined us in the celebration. We are very sad that our ten 6th class students will be leaving us after their time in Annagh Hill but we will only have fond memories of them as we reflect on their time with us. They have been a pleasure to teach and we wish them every good wish and happiness in their bright futures. We'd also like to thank their parents for the fantastic support they have given our school over the years.
  • Sports Day - 21/06/2016: We had a very enjoyable Sports Day last week where the children took part in a range of different sports and activities. These included an obstacle course, dressing up relay and tug of war. All the children also took part in a Zumba dancing session. This was led by Zumba instructor Aleksandra Kolinska. Thanks to Aleksandra for her enthusiasm and friendly manner with our students. We'd also like to thanks Rainer Bolte and some of the members of the Connaught Fencing Club team for demonstrating the sport of fencing for our senior students.
  • Sponsored Walk and Irish Dancing Performance - 20/06/2016: Thanks to all who supported, helped out and took part in our sponsored walk today. It was very enjoyable and we are so grateful for all your support. Also, very well done to all the children who took part in an Irish dancing performance in the school hall following our walk. They were excellent. A big thank you to Susan O'Shaughnessy for the great work she has done with the children all year and for preparing the children for today's performance.
  • Nicholson/Patricia Kelly Cup - 17/06/2016: Well done to all our boys and girls who took part in the Nicholson Cup/Patricia Kelly Cup Finals evening in Monivea on Wednesday evening. They can all be very proud of their performances. Thanks to Monivea Abbey GAA Club for the organising and running the competition.
  • Visit from Paul Kelly - 13/06/2016: Thanks to Paul Kelly who visited our school to speak to the children about the importance of healthy eating and staying active. The children gained a lot from Paul's visit and we appreciate him taking the time to come and talk to the boys and girls in our school. Photos of Paul's visit can be viewed in the photo's section.
  • Treacy Cup - 08/06/2016: Our girls competed in the local basketball competition, the Treacy Cup, in Castlehackett today. They performed very well and can be very pleased with themselves.
