• Mini Olympic Handball - 09/03/2017: Our busy week of sport was rounded off in style with our u-13 girls winning their three mini Olympic handball games in Cregmore on March 9th. They now go forward to take part in the Galway Finals. The County Finals will take place on April 4th in Knocknacarra.
  • FAI 5-a-side Soccer (Boys) - 08/03/2017: Well done to our boys who took part in the FAI 5s competition in Newbridge on Wednesday, March 8th. They won their four group matches and have now qualified for the Galway Finals that will take place in Drom on Wednesday, March 29th.
  • FAI 5-a-side Soccer (Girls) - 07/03/2017: Our girls took part in the FAI 5s competition in Newbridge on Tuesday, March 7th. They won one game and drew three which meant they finished in 2nd place in their group. They will not progress to the next stage but can be very proud of how they played. Well done girls!
  • First Confession - 02/03/2017: The boys and girls in 2nd class made their First Confession on Thursday, March 2nd. Thanks to Fr. Mullins for celebrating the sacrament with the children.
  • Sacrament of Confirmation: We would like to wish the children in 6th class the very best of luck as they will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Monday, February 27th at 2.30 p.m. We hope that all the candidates and their families have a very enjoyable day.
  • Confirmation Retreat - 10/02/2017: The children in 6th class travelled to Esker on Friday, February 10th as part of their preparation for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on Monday, February 27th. Thanks to all the facilitators who looked after children on the day. 
  • Operation Transformation 10@10 - 10/02/2017: The children all enjoyed taking part in Operation Transformation's 10 minutes of exercise at 10 o'clock on Friday, February 10th.  
  • Farm Safety - 01/02/2017: A big thank you to Peter Gohery who came to our school on Wednesday, February 1st to speak to the children about Farm Safety. Peter was the victim of a farming accident himself and he is keen to ensure that others don't suffer similar accidents on the farm through negligence.
  • You Shall Be My Witnesses Programme: The first 'You Shall Be My Witnesses' meeting for the children who are preparing for Confirmation will take place in our school on Tuesday, January 31st from 7.15 p.m. to 8.15 p.m. They will run for the next four weeks at the same time and venue.
  • Credit Union Quiz - 30/01/2017: Well done to Emma, Conor, Nell and Darragh who represented the school at the St. Jarlath's Credit Union Quiz on Friday, January 27th in the u-11 section. Also, well done to our u-13 team who represented the school admirably. The team was Shauna, Cian, Amy and Scott.
