• Cumann na mBunscol Hurling - 26/05/2017: Well done to our hurlers who took part in the Cumann na mBunscol 9 a side competition in Craughwell today, May 26th.
  • Competition Winner - 26/05/2017: Rian in 2nd class came first in the colouring competition for the Corofin Sheep Shearing Festival. Well done Rian!
  • National Children's Choir - 26/05/2017: Best of luck to Conor, Jessica, Jade and Katie who will sing with the National Children's Choir in the National Concert Hall in Dublin tomorrow.
  • Raftery Cup - 26/05/2017: Hard luck to our Raftery Cup teams who were defeated in their games yesterday evening. They battled hard throughout and have been fantastic all year. We are very proud of all of them.
  • Cumann na mBunscol Football (Boys) - 22/05/2017: Well done to our 4th, 5th and 6th class boys who performed so well in the Cumann na mBunscol 11 a side Football competition in Abbeyknockmoy today. They won two of their matches and narrowly lost one by a goal. They finished in second place in the group. Well played boys!
  • Nicholson Cup and Patricia Kelly Cup - 19/05/2017: Thanks to Monivea Abbey GAA Football Club for hosting the Nicholson Cup, Patricia Kelly Cup, Cooke Shield and Club Shield competitions in Monviea today. All the children had a great day and there was some great football on display. Well done to all involved.
  • National Children's Choir Concert - 09/05/2017: Very well done to our boys and girls who took part in the National Children's Choir Regional Concert in Leisureland yesterday evening. All the children put on a magnificent performance for all in attendance. It was a fantastic event that was enjoyed by all. We are so proud of the children for their efforts throughout the year and a huge thanks to Ms. Henaghan and Ms. Flynn for preparing the choir since September.
  • Archbishop McHale Soccer Tournament - 05/05/2017: Our boys and girls had a great day at the soccer tournament hosted by Archbishop McHale College in Tuam. Our boys went all the way to the final, which they won following a penalty shootout. All the children deserve great credit for their performances throughout the day. We are very proud of them. Thanks to those who gave us great support throughout the course of the day and all at Archbishop McHale College for organising and hosting a most enjoyable day.
  • Raftery Cup 2017 - 04/05/2017: Well done to our boys and girls for their excellent showing in their first games. Thanks to all who came along to give them such great support. Fixtures are available on our Facebook page.
  • Active Schools Week - 28/04/2017: Well done to pupils and staff for participating in Active Schools Week. The pupils enjoyed an array of activities which began with Move it Monday, Tug of War Tuesday as well as an energetic Zumba class in the afternoon with Alex. On Wednesday we began our morning with Walk on Wednesday which was followed by the 'Take on the Teachers' challenge! On Thursday, Ultimate Frisbee coach Emma O' Callaghan visited our school and demonstrated the skills and technique involved. Active week finished today with swimming lessons in the morning, followed by the final take on the teachers challenge and parachute games. A fun week was enjoyed by all and many thanks to the Active Flag Committee members Simona, Dylan, Isabel, Shane, Katie, Morgan and Conor, who were led by our Active Flag coordinator Ms. Heneghan, for all their help this week.
