• First Holy Communion - 28/04/2017: The boys and girls in 2nd class will make their First Holy Communion tomorrow, April 29th, at 12 p.m. in Brooklodge Church. Mrs Grealish has prepared the children well and we wish them and their families a fantastic day.
  • Green Flag - 24/04/2017: We are delighted to announce that we have received our sixth Green Flag. The theme was Global Citizenship - Litter and Waste. We will be presented with the flag on Thursday, May 4th at a ceremony in the Galway Bay Hotel. Very well done to committee members - Jack, Caoimhe, Dylan, Eva, Katie and Niamh who were led by Ms. Flynn and Mrs. Hughes. We will raise our new flag later in the term.
  • 50 Year Anniversary - 19/04/2017: Annagh Hill National School will celebrate 50 years this autumn and we hope you will be able to join us for a meeting to discuss plans on Tuesday, April 25th at 8.30 p.m. We are asking parents, past pupils and members of the community to come along as we count down to the 50th anniversary of when the school first opened its doors on the current site in 1967. Coincidentally, this autumn will also be a celebration of the 140th anniversary of the first school at Annagh Hill, with the original building erected in 1877. We’re looking forward to marking this special occasion so please come along on Tuesday, April 25th where suggestions will be shared as the initial preparations are put in place for this unique birthday celebration.
  • Cumann na mBunscol - 07/04/2017: Congratulations to our girls who qualified for the Cumann na mBunscol 9 a side County Final today in Caherlistrane. They played excellently to win their four matches and will now compete in the County Final on May 30th in Loughgeorge. Very well done girls!
  • Mini Olumpic Handball County Finals - 06/04/2017: Our girls did us proud yesterday at the u-13 mini Olympic handball County Finals. They reached the semi final where they were narrowly defeated 2-1. Well done to all involved.
  • Spelling Bee 06/04/2017: Well done to Jason in 6th class who represented our school admirably at the County Galway Spelling Bee in the Salthill Hotel on April 4th.
  • FAI 5s Galway Finals - 27/03/2017: Very well done to our boys who took part in the Spar FAI 5s competition in Drom today. They topped their group and went on to win their semi final game which meant they qualified for the final against Doorus NS. The match ended 0-0 after extra time and we were unfortunately defeated following a penalty shootout. The boys played superbly all day and can be very proud of themselves.
  • Scór na bPáistí - 23/03/2017: Congratulations to our pupils who took part in the Scór na bPáistí competition on Sunday, March 26th. Well done to Niamh, Amy, Katie G, Emma, Eva, Alanna, Shauna and Katie W who won the set dancing competition and well done to Nell who participated in the recitation competition. We're very proud of them all.
  • SkyDome - 16/03/2017: All the children in our school really enjoyed their SkyDome experience. SkyDome is a mobile planetarium and the children learned a lot about astronomy.
  • P.T.A.A. Essay Writing Competition - 10/03/2017: Congratulations to Shauna in 6th class who recently won the Pioneer Total Abstinence Assiciation's essay writing competition. Very well done Shauna!
