Lyric FM String Quartet - 21/05/2018:A big thank you to the Lyric FM string quartet who came to our school today, May 21st, to perform for the children. Everybody enjoyed it greatly.
Walk to School Week - 15/05/2018:It's Walk to School Week and we will continue our Walking Wednesdays until the end of the school year.
Cumann na mBunscol Football - 14/05/2018:Our girls were in Cumann na mBunscol football action in Caherlistrane today, May 14th. They won their first match but lost out to the eventual overall winners in their next match. Well done girls!
Well done Shane - 13/05/2018:Well done to Shane Canavan who represented the school in the Cumann na mBunscol mini exhibition game in Castlebar today, May 13th.
Raftery Cup - 10/05/2018:Our first Raftery Cup games will take place in Belclare tomorrow evening, May 10th. Our 7 a side team will be playing at 6.15 p.m. while our 9 a side team will be playing at 6.45 p.m.
Shoot 'n' Fruit Showcase Day - 09/05/2018:A huge thank you to all who supported our Junior Entrepreneur Showcase Day today, May 9th. The boys and girls deserve massive credit for the work they put in all day and in preparation for the event. We are very proud of them. We hope everybody enjoyed the day.
First Holy Communion - 04/05/2018: The very best of luck to the boys and girls in 2nd class who will make their First Holy Communion tomorrow, May 5th at 12 p.m. in Brooklodge Church. We hope they and their families have a very enjoyable day.
Cumann na mBunscol Football - 03/05/2018:Well done to our boys who took part in the group stages of the Cumann na mBunscol 11 a side competition in Athenry today, May 3rd. The weather conditions made it difficult for all teams but the lads can be very happy with their performances.
Shoot 'n' Fruit - 02/05/2018:The 5th and 6th students present Shoot 'n' Fruit as part of their Junior Entrepreneur Programme. On Wednesday, May 9th they will host a soccer tournament for the children in 1st and 2nd class. Ballinderry, Coolarne and Crumlin will also be taking part on the day. They will also be selling smoothies, crêpes, energy balls and fruit skewers from 12 p.m. in our school hall. All are welcome to come along on the day to watch the soccer and enjoy the snacks the children will have on sale.
Bricks 4 Kidz Workshop - 01/05/2018: The children in our school all enjoyed their Bricks 4 Kidz workshop today, May 1st. They had the opportunity to build a variety of different models such as a scissor lift.
