Sponsored Walk/Irish Dancing Display - 25/06/2018:Thanks to all who supported our sponsored walk today, June 25th. On returning to the school everybody was treated to a cone as the ice cream van paid us a visit. Well done to all the boys and girls who took part in an Irish dancing display in our school hall afterwards. A big thank you to Susan O'Shaughnessy for all the great work she has done with the children this year.
Graduation Mass - 20/06/2018:Thanks to all who made our Graduation Mass such a lovely occasion today, June 20th. We are very proud of our five 6th class students; Dylan, Eva, Morgan, Ryan and Shane, who are nearing the end of their time with us. We have enjoyed seeing them progress over the years and have no doubt that they are ready to make the transition to secondary school. We wish them every success in their bright futures.
Trip to Zipit - 18/06/2018:The 5th and 6th class students had a great day at Zipit in Lough Key Forest Park yesterday, June 18th. They decided to put their well earned profit from their Junior Entrepreneur Programme towards paying for the trip and they deserved to have the enjoyable day they had.
Nicholson Cup and Patricia Kelly Cup - 13/06/2018:Thanks to Monivea Abbey GAA Football Club for hosting the annual Nicholson and Patricia Kelly Cup competitions today, June 13th. Well done to our boys and girls from 3rd - 6th class who took part.
1st and 2nd Class Soccer Tournament - 12/06/2018:The soccer tournament we hosted yesterday, June 12th was a great success. Thank you to Ballinderry, Coolarne and Crumlin for joining us and taking part. Well done to our 1st and 2nd class boys who won their tournament after a penalty shootout and congrats to the Ballinderry girls who won their competition. Our 5th and 6th class students deserve huge credit for their efforts on the day with regard to the running of the tournament and the selling of smoothies, crêpes, fruit skewers and energy balls in our school hall.
Raftery Cup - 11/06/2018:Congratulations to our Raftery Cup teams who won their two matches this evening, June 11th in Corofin. Thanks to all who came along and gave our boys and girls such great support!
School Tours - 01/06/2018:We had a great day today, June 1st on our school tours. The Junior Infants - 2nd class went to Loughwell Farm Park in Moycullen while the 3rd - 6th class students went to Shannon River Adventure in Co. Roscommon.
Treacy Cup - 30/05/2018:It was a pleasure to host the Treacy Cup today, May 30th in the beautiful sunshine. Well done to all involved in making the competition such a great success. This includes the arranging of fixtures, scorekeeping, refereeing and the preparation of food and refreshments. All matches were very competitive and played in a sporting manner. Very well done to our own girls who won two of their four games. Congratulations to Ballinderry who overcame a gallant Cummer team in the final after two periods of extra time.
Raftery Cup - 28/05/2018:Well done to our 7 a side Raftery Cup team who were defeated this evening, May 28th in Belclare. They fought bravely throughout and can be proud of themselves. Thanks to all who came out to support the team.
Cumann na mBunscol Hurling - 22/05/2018:Well done to our boys who took part in the Cumann na mBunscol 9 a side hurling competition in Tuam today, May 22nd.
