• Cumann na mBunscol Hurling - 27/05/2019: Congratulations to our hurlers who won the group stage of the Cumann na mBunscol 9 a side competition today, May 27th. They have now qualified for the county final which will take place in Lár Ionad, Loughgeorge on Thursday, June 13th.
  • Considine Cup and Roche Shield - 25/05/2019: The second annual Considine Cup and Roche Shield competitions took place today, May 25th at the St. Bernard’s FC football grounds. Our team battled all the way to the Considine Cup final but were unfortunately beaten on a 1-0 scoreline. Our players can be very proud of how they conducted themselves and how they played on the day. Thanks to all who organised a very enjoyable competition and thanks to those who gave our team such great support throughout the day.
  • National Children's Choir - 24/05/2019: All the best to Aoife, Caoimhe, Isabel and Jessica who will perform with the National Children’s Choir in the National Concert Hall on Sunday, May 26th. We hope that the girls enjoy what will no doubt be a fantastic experience.
  • Raftery Cup - 14/05/2019: Our Raftery Cup team were defeated after extra time in what was a very exciting and sporting game against Ballinderry NS. Very well done to them. Our players battled bravely right to the very end and were very unfortunate to lose out by a kick of the ball. Our boys and girls can be very proud of how they have performed throughout this year’s Raftery Cup. It has been very enjoyable and highly competitive. Well done to all involved.
  • Cumann na mBunscol Football - 13/05/2019: Our boys played very well today in the group stage of the 11 a side Cumann na mBunscol football competition in Raheen, Athenry. They narrowly missed out on a place in the county finals after losing out in a playoff. Nevertheless, they can be proud of their performance.
  • Book Fair - 10/05/2019: A book fair will take place in our school from May 13th until May 17th. There will be a range of books, posters and stationery on sale. They will be available to purchase in our school hall at the following times: 9.00-9.20 a.m, 2.15-2.30 p.m and 3.15-3.30 p.m. Any items sold will help us get free books for our classroom libraries.
  • Raftery Cup - 08/05/2019: The Raftery Cup finals will now take place on Tuesday evening, May 14th in Corofin rather than tomorrow, as stated in the previous post. Matches will begin at 6 p.m.
  • Raftery Cup - 07/05/2019: Well done to our Raftery Cup team who won two out of their three matches today, May 7th in Belclare. Following the group stage, we have now qualified for the Raftery Shield final which will take place in Corofin on Thursday evening, May 9th. The time of the match is yet to be confirmed.
  • First Holy Communion - 04/05/2019: Congratulations to the boys and girls who made their First Holy Communion today, May 4th in Brooklodge church. They deserve great praise for their participation in the mass. A big thank you to Fr. Mullins for celebrating the sacrament with the children and Fr. Conlon for concelebrating. Many thanks to Mrs. Grealish for preparing the children so diligently. Also, a big thank you to Mrs. Martin for leading the excellent choir and Anna Maher for playing the organ. Thank you to our secretary, Nora for preparing the mass booklets and names for the seats. We hope that parents, grandparents, family and friends have a fantastic day celebrating and enjoy the bank holiday weekend.
  • National Children's Choir - 12/04/2019: A great evening of entertainment was had in Leisureland yesterday, April 11th. The boys and girls in 4th, 5th and 6th participated in the National Children's Choir and put on an excellent show. Thanks to Ms. Flynn and Mrs. Martin for directing the choir this year. Very well done to all involved.
